The Nicholas Whitlock Leadership Scholarship will endow a Newnan High School senior with a 4 year scholarship, given on honor’s night, to be used towards college expenses.
Aside from the academic requirements, the student chosen must exemplify Nick’s characteristics:
- Integrity
- Honesty
- Bravery
- Leadership
This scholarship allows us to let those not fortunate enough to have known Nick to understand what kind of man he was.

Criteria for the scholarship:
- Be in good academic standing, with an overall average of 85 on a scale of 100.
- Participation in at least one extracurricular activity.
- 2 reference letters
- An essay (not to exceed 1 page in length) in which the applicant speaks on a situation in which he/she has taken a leadership role.
- Copy of his/her transcript.
How to apply?
The scholarship application can be obtained from your high school counselors office. Application is not available online.
