The Captain Nicholas Schade Whitlock Foundation is proud to announce the 2014 recipient of the Nicholas Whitlock Leadership Scholarship, Jeremy Messer. Jeremy is an outstanding graduating senior at Newnan High School who has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and academic achievement. He has earned several awards for his high level of academics including the Principal’s Award 3 consecutive years and the Kiwanis Key Leader Award. Jeremy also holds leadership positions for several organizations within the high school including: President of the History club, Captain of the Academic Bowl, and Captain of the Science team. Outside of school, Jeremy volunteers at a local Veteran’s Commission and participates in a student-veteran connection project. Through dedication to his academics and passion for service, Jeremy exemplifies the characteristics of a true leader and worthy recipient of the Nicholas Whitlock Leadership Scholarship.
After graduation, Jeremy plans on attending the University of Georgia.
