Wreaths Across America is an annual event at Arlington National Cemetery where volunteers place Holiday wreaths at the grave markers of our fallen heroes within the Cemetery. The event occurs each year in December, and the wreaths remain in place until mid-January. Volunteers laid more than 100,000 wreaths this year, which was more than three-times the number typically placed. The wreath at the grave of Nick and his three fallen comrades was placed by the Arlington Chapter Gold Star Wives.
