Remembering Our Fallen Exhibit

Bill & Evonne Williams are natives of Omaha with four sons who have served in the United States military. Their sons’ service has led to an appreciation for the sacrifices of our servicemen and their families, as well as a desire to honor our military, including those who have died, while serving the United States of America. This passion led to the creation of an exhibit called “Remembering Our Fallen.” This exhibit included photos of the Fallen who died in The War on Terror since September 11, 2001, and called Nebraska home. The exhibit has been traveling weekly through Nebraska for over three years and has had a tremendous impact on the families and communities. Soon after the unveiling of this first display, Bellevue University asked the Williamses if they would be interested in doing this in other states. After realizing the impact this first photo display made upon not only the families of The Fallen, but also the general public, the Williamses agreed this project should be completed in other states to remind people of the cost of freedom while hopefully, helping to lessen the grief of the families. “Remembering Our Fallen” is a tribute to all of those who have died as a result of wounds suffered in a war zone, while in uniform, since 9-11-2001.

Nick’s parents, Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Clare Whitlock, attended the exhibit in Columbus, Georgia, and on behalf of the Captain Nicholas Schade Whitlock Foundation, we encourage all those in the area of the tours to attend this meaningful exhibit as it tours the state of Georgia. The Georgia exhibit honors and remembers Nick, and all the Georgia servicemen and women who have given their lives in the war on terror. The dates and locations for the Georgia tour are as follows.
