Every year to honor Nick’s birthday, we make a donation in his memory to a deserving organization. This year, we’ve chosen to support Camp Southern Ground’s veteran programs which support servicemen and women in their transition from active service to civilian life, and those living with post-traumatic stress.
The donation that we are making will cover half the costs of a Veteran’s Warrior Week. Warrior Week, which is their signature 12-month transition program, begins with a week at Camp Southern Ground. The goal of this week is to help transitioning veterans harness their strengths to propel them toward fulfilling their own personal missions after service. Camp Southern Ground utilizes a holistic approach to growth and discovery amongst a support network of peers and mentors who walk with these veterans over the next year of their journey to assist them in finding their next mission in life. At Warrior Week, veterans engage in team building exercises, hear from world-class instructors that train on Clifton Strengths and Enneagram assessments, and are introduced to many of the veteran support systems in the non-profit sector.
